Judge Scrutinizes Legal Fees in WexTrust Ponzi Scheme Case

Dewey & LeBoeuf’s efforts to be paid for its work on the WexTrust Ponzi scheme case have been rebuffed by a federal judge, who said he was troubled that the WexTrust estate has paid more than $15.5 million to firms working on the matter — more than three times the amount paid to the victims.
