Federal Judge Approves $1.25 Billion Settlement in Black Farmers' Class Action

A judge has granted preliminary approval of a $1.25 billion class action settlement involving claims of discrimination against black farmers. The settlement calls for legal fees of about $51 million to $92.5 million; the judge will have the final say on fees.
